Perfect for TravelJul 01, 2008
By A. Jackson These little filters are perfect for travel or in the office. Just remember to keep the stick that is included. I use these every morning to brew my Teeccino at work. They are much better than any other manual brew contraption that I've used. No grounds get in your drink like happens with tea balls or strainers.

Great for what it doesJun 17, 2008
By ohsolomia I have used these as a backup and for a portable one off, brewing system.
Doesn't do much, but does what it does, well.
More hassle than "coffee bags", but much better coffee.
Sealed commercial brands tend to add instant coffee to speed things up.
This system is pretty graceful and you control the process.
It's reasonably portable, and , for limited space situations, downright slick.

By N. Whitman I suppose, if one was prone to taking 20 minutes to make 6 ounces of weak coffee in a deep cup, this might be a useful system in a pinch. Or maybe it's great for the person who prefers coffee-flavored hot water. If, however, you like a 10-12oz cup of full-flavored joe, this product is more of a prank than a coffee brewing system. The filter doesn't contain two tablespoons of grounds unless, maybe, you have infinite volume/rate control over the flow of your hot water (thus the timeframe I suggest above). The rim of the filter collapses in seconds, dumping grounds (which swell in hot water) into the cup. Efforts to salvage your caffeine fix from this disaster result in a bigger mess, as the overflowing filter will not lift out of the liquid without protesting like a toddler whose favorite resistance strategy is flaccid wailing. I went ahead and gave it a star anyway because there is good news: Unlike your toddler, you can chuck this obnoxious parcel into the compost, forget about it, and seek solace in your french or Aero press. Also the stick that skewers the filter can be used as a backup stylus for your DS.

By kellya I love these filters. I use them to steep loose tea. They are tapered; therefore, they fit nicely in a cup. I tried others that are more square-shaped and they did not work as well. These are great!
