must open very CAREFULLYJan 07, 2010
By bartwin these bags are great if you open them very, very carefully. but that's not so easy. i guess what makes them biodegradable is what makes them very, very easy to tear. it's not easy to separate one bag from the other on the roll to get the process started. and i often accidentally get tears at the bottom, making the bag useless - as another review has said. i probably won't buy this product again.

Just right, but expensive!May 05, 2009
By Otis Stelly I purchased these bags as they are designed to fit the 1 gallon RSVP pail. They do fit perfectly and work well, but they are, in my view, very expensive.

I purchased several boxes of these bags to use in a 1 gallon kitchen compost pail. For the most part, they work pretty well. They are manufactured with side seams and about half way through the roll of bags, several bags started splitting at the seams when placed in the empty pail making them useless. I sent an email to the manufacturer/distributor with no response. I think that's pretty poor customer service.

great, if only the seams didn't breakJan 05, 2010

We bought these about a year ago. The seams are at the tops and bottoms (similar design to a produce bag in the grocery store). I will definitely not buy these again. The bottom seam break frequently as I try to open one and line the container. Can't wait to use up the bags and buy a new brand replacement.

No Messy Kitchen ScrapsNov 13, 2009
By MusicLover It does the job! I can throw the kitchen scraps right into the composting bin without a mess and it is biodegradable. What more can you ask for, except for it to be free?
