I Bought this product 2 month ago and we use it 2 times a week.At tyhe beggining works fine but after 3 uses the springs of the lid started to bar. Also after several uses the blade that rotate the corn inside starter to twist.
I was looking for a long term popcorn popper , but this is not the one.

When I first purchased this popper, I was impressed with its stability. But after using it, I found some things that did not impress me. First, the metal gears on top would often not work and the internal paddle would not turn. The kettle is soft aluminum and bends easily, which of course affects how the lid fits. Finally, the popcorn just didn't tast very good. I suggest saving your money and refraining from this very low-qauality item.

5Best popper ever!Aug 22, 2010
By Mr Shaun Janzen
I am not sure what issues these other reviewers had, but I suspect they just did not know what they are doing. This makes the best popcorn I have ever eaten. Using a combo of olive oil, butter and salt to cook the corn in. Never have had any problem with the crank or anything bending out of shape, if used properly. You only have to crank once every 15 to 30 seconds until it starts popping and then crank SLOWLY after corn starts to pop. Never an issue and good quality.
