I would highly recommend this as an excellent duster. It really picks up the dust and holds it until you shake it out. I also like the 24 inch reach ability. It is the best that I have used.

I'm a guy, so I hate dusting, but I need to keep my many electronics and several home entertainment centers clean and free of dust. I own two of these 24" Norpro dusters and they do a fine job. I don't have a lot of experience with other dusters, but I can't imagine they really improve on what this does. It certainly is an improvement on those cheap "feather" dusters you get at the supermarket.

I liked the natural materials and length of this duster but the more I use it, the less I like it. It IS nice and long, and very soft, but it SHEDS which is really annoying, especially if you are attempting to do the opposite and little fibers are falling out onto your just-dusted surface. There isnt a lot, but it is annoying to dust, then pick up the little 2 or 3 bits of lambswool fur that fell out on every surface. I mostly bought it to dust my flat screen tv and base, and very dark wood coffee table, as they seem to collect dust on an almost daily basis. It DOES dust those surfaces well, but I just can't tell if it is absorbing the unwanted dust, or moving it around only to resettle later. I suspect it's the latter.
It's probably worth about ten bucks it costs, if only for the length, but I find myself just reaching for a Swiffer Sweeper Dry Cloth Refill Unscented 48 Count Box and wiping it across those surfaces. MUCH easier and more efficient, with longer-lasting results.

I never thought I'd be writing a review of a duster...but seeing as how so many of my purchase decisions are based on other user reviews including this one, I think its time to return the favor. The only reason I have a duster is to keep by black electronics looking nice. I tried the swiffer and all it really did for me was push the dust around and it was messing trying to use it. The Norpro totally absorbs it, literally one swipe is all that's needed and the dust is totally gone but does not go into the air. I'm about as happy as a guy in his 20's can be about a duster. Highly recommended.
