Not very sturdyApr 30, 2009
By Barry J. Doick For a product that is supposed to be used to hit ice, the circular tapper portion is not securely attached to the metal bar. After only a couple of uses the 2 parts came apart and now the tapper is useless.

By Happy I bought this ice cracker after acquiring a new refrigerator with an non-adjustable ice maker that makes big ice crescents. I found this ice cracker and it breaks up the crescents easily and quickly. After using it frequently for about three years, the head came off the wand part because the hole it was inserted into got too big. I made the hole smaller with a tiny piece of duct tape pierced with a smaller hole, and now the head stays on fine. This is a very useful implement.
