No need to worry about getting the mitt dirty! And inside is soft to feel.May 22, 2009
By Carmen I like the traditional kind of oven mitt since the cloth is soft for the hand, but would also like a silicone mitt where cleaning is easy.
Voila! This mitt is my final answer. I have small hands (XS is the size for me usually) and I have no problem when I use this product.
As of June 15, 2011: I was surprised to learn a lot of negative comments regarding this oven mitt. Mine still works wonderfully and I was actually planning to buy another one. I emailed Norpro and asked if they changed anything on the product since 2009. They replied that they did change factories at the end of 2009. I got mine in May 2009. Just FYI.

By Etude I'm 6'4". I'm 200lbs. I'm a large person, and I have to shop for clothing in the XXL section, no matter where I shop. And these oven mitts made my hand look like a toddler trying on Paul Bunyan's older, taller brother's boxing gloves. In other words: too freaking huge. Not what you want when you may be holding onto something 400 degrees or hotter.
What's worse is the quality. Terrible stitching around the seams almost caused me a nasty burn when some of the heat from the pan I was holding got through them, which sort of defeats the purpose of silicone oven mitts in the first place, doesn't it?
So let's sum up: freakishly large as well as poorly made, sort of like the Frankenstein's monster of cooking gloves. Yeah, not very hot stuff indeed.

Too bigFeb 14, 2010
By Jax I'm an adult male who usually wears size L gloves, but I find this mitt to be too big for me. Other than the size it seems fine.

Mitts Like A Glove!Jan 01, 2010
By Spockster Seuss *Way* more flexible than the Orkas I tried out in a local kitchen store and slightly less expensive. With their cloth interiors, they seem to grip to your hand better, rendering a more secure feeling, all the while providing adequate thermal resistance. They're long enough to provide good distal forearm protection (better than our previous all cloth model) and easy to clean up, especially if you keep the inner linings grease free. I specifically purchased the 'electric blue' version to ensure compatibility with our electric oven and have not been disappointed (kidding... just KIDDING!(heh!))!

Size is enormousNov 19, 2010
By Celebritee I had to return this oven mitt because it is just so big. I am an average sized woman with average sized hands. I tend to wear a size medium for dishwashing gloves, but I can fit both of my hands into this oven mitt and still have wiggle room.
